We have an exciting new opportunity at Easipetcare Kettering for a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to come onboard and join our team.

The Part You’ll Play


At our veterinary clinic, we provide comprehensive pet care services. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. You will be responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general information about our services such as our Health Care Plan. You will be the first point of call for our clients, providing support and compassion.

About you


We are looking for a dedicated, professional team member, who shows a real passion and positive attitude in every duty they perform. Candidates must have at least 1 year reception experience, and ideally at least 1 year of veterinary reception experience. This is because being a receptionist in the veterinary industry is very fast paced. The candidate needs to be highly self-motivated with good customer service skills.

Duties:


  • Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
  • Collect and update client information in the database
  • Medication handling
  • Assist with filing and organising paperwork
  • Process payments for services rendered

  • Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Able to work well within a team and independently
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

  • About the rota


    Our working week for this role is x2 10 hour shifts over 2 days, with Saturday morning shifts on a rota (with time off in lieu). Weekday shifts include earlies/lates between 8:00am and 7:30pm, and bank holiday cover. Our flexible approach to rota patterns can enrich your work life balance.     Easipetcare Kettering is a well-established practice with a large client base. It has great facilities including 4 consult rooms, a separate cattery, kennel and isolation ward, x-ray and ultrasound, theatre and prep room with an in-house laboratory.
    The practice is situated close to local amenities. The practice is easily accessible with free car parking. It has excellent transport links, including the A14 and M1, and is a 15-minute walk from the train station where you can get a direct train to London.
