Do you like working with people? And love animals? We are currently looking for a receptionist to join our team.
 

The Role


You will be part of a fast-paced and friendly team, responsible for being the first point of contact to our clients. You will be booking appointments and dealing with a variety of enquiries either face-to-face, over the phone or via email. Maintaining client records and taking payments when required whilst also ensuring that our clients receive the excellent service that we are known for.

We are a large group comprising of a main hospital in Worthing and 6 satellite branches around the local area, dealing with both 1st Opinions and Referrals. Our services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue, and internal medicine. The hospital is well equipped with a dedicated Dental Suite, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic equipment as well as an on-site laboratory. 
 
Our busy Brighton branch is equipped with a dental room, operating theatre, laparoscopic equipment, digital x-ray and in-house lab  and numerous consultation rooms. There is also a large reception area and cat and dog wards for keeping our patients comfortable.
 
Located on the south coast of England, less than an hour from London by train, Brighton is one of the UK’s most popular destinations. Whilst it has long been known as a seaside resort, there is far more to Brighton than just fish and chips on the beach!  The Brighton branch is situated in the popular Preston Park area with good transport links. Preston Park is Brighton & Hove's first and largest public park. With 63 acres of parkland, this well-loved open space plays a huge role in the life of the city, offering a variety of sports and activities and hosting many major outdoor events.

 

Experience required

 
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to show empathy
  • Ability to cope in a highly emotive environment
  • Previous experience in a customer service role where you have dealt with people in person and over the phones
  • Passionate about customer service and animals
  • Good IT skills and the ability to record data accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent team working
  • Knowledge of veterinary industry is desirable but not essential
  •  
    This exciting position will require you to work at different sites, therefore a car is essential for this role. You could be asked to cover any one of our seven sites which are situated in Brighton, Portslade, Southwick, Lancing, Broadwater, Tarring and Durrington.

     

    Your shift pattern


    32.25 hours per week, 1 pm – 7 pm Monday to Friday, every other Saturday 8:30 am – 1 pm at our Brighton Practice in Preston Drove.
     
    The salary for this role is up to £19,251.29.
