At Fivelands Veterinary Centre, we're seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team  on a permanent basis. In this role, your time will be at the main surgery in the lively village of Moseley (with good nightlife and restaurants), with some consulting at one of the branches.

Rota patterns that work for you


Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Ideally, we’re looking for someone to work 40 hours per week (4½ days per week), no OOH required, there’s a shared Saturday rota (1 in 4 Saturdays) with time off in lieu for this.

A bit about us


We are a friendly team, who work well together, with certificate holders in surgery, and in feline medicine, and vets studying for certificates in dentistry and cardiology, all supported by a great nursing team. We are an ISFM silver cat friendly practice. The practice is well equipped with a new ultrasound, DR- digital x-ray, flexible & rigid endoscopes, Companion class IV laser, Idexx biochem/haematology machines, and dental x-ray. We provide specialist abdominal and cardiac ultrasonography in-house using Virtual Veterinary Specialists. Our main surgery is near the centre of Birmingham with excellent rail, bus & motorway connections. Fivelands has a diverse range of loyal clients from different ethnic & socio-economic backgrounds, and we take pride in providing a top quality service to all our clients and their pets.

About our talented team


Join a passionate team of 9 vets, 8 RVNs, 3 SVN's, and 2 VCA's, supported by dedicated receptionists across all branches. Our team includes a certificate holder in feline medicine, with others working towards qualifications in cardiology and dentistry. We are committed to mentorship and professional development, and are seeking a candidate who enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to our collaborative environment.
