The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Gordons Vets, Musselburgh. The position is full time working within our busy small animal practice based in Musselburgh. The role will involve varied duties including hospital work, theatre work, nurse consults and some (minimal) reception work. This will be rotated equally between the nurse team. We do regular orthopaedics and endoscopy work. The role is 40 hours per week. You will be required to participate in the out of hours rota, which will include one evening (until 11pm) once every 2 weeks, 1 in 8 weekends and 1 in 8 Sundays. Long weekends are awarded after weekend work.  

Salary in excess of £20000 depending on skills and experience.

About Us

We are a very busy small animal practice with a long-standing loyal client base. We have 3 surgeries located in East and Mid Lothian. We are ideally situated with access to amazing beaches and spectacular coastline, the rambling hills of Midlothian and the close to the stunning city of Edinburgh. 

We are a 14 Veterinary Surgeon practice, with 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses and excellent support staff. We have an orthopaedic certificate holder and two GP certificate holders, and we are also a nurse training practice. We are well equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, full laparoscopic surgical equipment, dental/dental X-ray. 
  
We are a friendly and supportive practice where you will be made to feel like an integral part of the team. We strive to provide an excellent level of service to our established client base. We are a training practice and pride ourselves in our high standards of nurse training. CPD is encouraged with generous allowance.
