Here at Atherton Vets we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. We are very passionate about providing outstanding pet healthcare and Service to our clients. The role will involve general nursing duties on an equally shared rota working 40 hours per week over 5 days. The rota involves 2 evenings per week and 1 Saturday in 4. We are open 8am-6.30pm Mon-Fri and 8am-12.30pm Saturday. We are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays plus our Out of hours is covered by VetsNow. We like our Nurses to work very closely with the veterinary surgeons to ensure continuity of care for the patients. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of nursing care including clinics and in-patient care before, during and after surgery.
We are a single site, purpose designed 100% small animal practice We have 2 theatres, 4 consulting rooms, imaging room and separate dog/cat isolation kennels. Atherton Veterinary Centre is a long-established practice with excellent motorway and rail links, 1 hour from the Lake District and only 20 minutes from Manchester.
The Practice currently has 6 vets who have many years of experience between them and provide excellent support. 9 nurses who work an equal rota to ensure fair division of in-patient care, theatre time and consulting and a team of 3 receptionists so reception duties are kept to a minimum. We have been a VNTP for 15 years with 100% pass rate and have 3 students currently. We require an RVN who has a desire to work in a busy 100% small animal general practice.
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse or final year SVN to join our fantastic team. You will be keen to offer high standards of care and enjoy working as part of a team.
