The Role

Glenburn Veterinary Surgeons have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team! No two days are the same here at our busy practice and your day-to-day duties will include: 
•    Inpatient care 
•    Preparation of cases for surgery
•    Anaesthetic monitoring 
•    Radiographs 
•    Lab work and basic dental work 
•    We are looking to expand our services to offer nurse consults, and we would love to see the successful candidate involved with 
We are offering an extremely attractive rota working 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 5 weekends (9 am to 6 pm on Saturdays and 9 am to 1 pm on Sundays with time off in lieu the following week) and no OOH duties. The position is predominantly based in our Glengormley clinic with weekends in our Crumlin branch.
The salary for this position is up to £25,000 depending on experience.

About the Team and Culture

We are extremely proud of our staff retention rates and are sorry (as well as slightly jealous) to be seeing our current nurse leave to go travelling in Australia. The successful candidate will be joining 4 other Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary nurse, 1 Animal Nursing assistant, 1 kennel assistant, 8 receptionists and 7 vets. We have one nurse with a certificate in anaesthesia, a vet with a certificate in small animal surgery and another vet currently studying for an internal medicine certificate. We encourage all our staff to pursue their interests and support the completion of certificates/CPD. 

Applicant Requirements 

Our ideal candidate will hold an RVN qualification, be an enthusiastic team player and have experience in dealing with a wide range of cases. Interest in carrying out consults would be an advantage as we are looking to offer this service in the future.
