Clent Hills Vets is based in Worcestershire. The perfect central location for motorway networks, Birmingham Airport and fast trains to London in just over an hour, but yet we are surrounded by country side , village pubs and beautiful walks. We have a fantastic team of staff who are all dedicated to not only patient care but also client care. We are lucky enough to have a complete hydrotherapy & physiotherapy centre that includes a pool , treadmill & laser therapy that we use to aid our arthritic and post surgical patients. We have all the usual equipment you would expect in a modern practice.
We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon, capable of delivering high quality and personable veterinary care in a busy and demanding environment, to join the friendly team at our Hagley branch. We aim to deliver excellent customer service going the extra mile to satisfy the needs and wants of our diverse client range. This role provides a mixture of 15 minute back to back consultations with a wide range of surgeries from routine neuters to more complex operations. The days can be long and all absorbing but very rewarding. You would be working within a team of 10 vet surgeons supported by our dedicated nursing team and our customer care staff who provide administrative support. We create opportunities for the whole team to come together through Practice meetings and social events and we encourage interest and participation within teams and the entire practice to think creatively to enable us to continuously improve our services and our business. We have the facilities and resources for overnight care giving you the option to admit patients and know that they are safe and cared for on the premises. You will work 4 full days per week and have a share in our weekend and night duty vet rota.
We offer a high-quality GP service. The successful applicant will be as happy in the consult room as in theatre. You will need the ability to work in an environment that is both fun and demanding. We are a very busy Practice and some days the work flow will be continuous so we require some resilience, energy and stamina as well as good clinical knowledge and sound judgement.
We expect you to adopt our working culture of putting the client first, communicating clearly and openly and working to ensure our business remains in pole position. You will be expected to work with a wide range of companion pets including some birds and reptiles. Being a team player is a must. You will be one of over 60 staff who each contribute to the overall success of the Practice by co-operating, resolving issues and pulling in the same direction.
