We have an excellent opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our small and friendly team. The role will include a good mixture of consultations and surgical work. You will be required to follow up on cases and we are keen to encourage case continuity, where possible.
• This is a part time vacancy, although we also welcome full time applications.
• There are just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (08:30-12:30)
• There are No Sundays, Bank holidays or OOH’s.
We see a varied, first opinion caseload including routine care, preventative health care, as well as some ECC.
We are a long-established, small animal practice in a semi-rural setting very close to the historic market town of Newark. We have built up a large loyal client base over the past 30 years and focus on giving the highest patient and client care possible. You will be joining an experienced team of 2 Veterinary Surgeon/Clinical Directors with post graduate qualifications, one in dermatology. We have a well-equipped practice with a digital x-ray machine, ultrasound machine, Idexx lab facilities and a certificate holder in Dermatology.

A good work life balance to us is very important and we are lucky to live in a very picturesque, historic market town but within close proximity to many cities such as Nottingham and Lincoln. The town is surrounded by lots of beautiful countryside to enjoy outdoor activities in your spare time, as well as many heritage attractions for sightseeing and a busy centre for the shoppers among us. The cost of living in Newark is relatively low with affordable housing and we have great commuter link roads near such as the A1. The East midlands airport is also only a 45 minute drive away.
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who ideally has some post graduate experience. You will need to have the ability to make decisions, have good interpersonal skills, and a compassionate nature. We have a supportive experienced team that will always be on hand to help.
