We have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team here at Gordons. The role is 40 hours per week over 4 days, this will include some OOH (until 11pm) and weekends shared between 10 vets. There will be a mix of consults and surgery shared amongst the team, and we are very lucky that our days are generally broken up with plenty of coffee and cake!
We are a small animal practice with 3 surgeries located in East and Mid Lothian. We are ideally situated with access to amazing beaches and spectacular coastline, the rambling hills of Midlothian and the close to the stunning city of Edinburgh.
We are a 14 Vet practice, with 9 RVNs and excellent support staff. We have an orthopaedic certificate holder and two GP certificate holders, and we are also a nurse training practice. We are well equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, full laparoscopic surgical equipment, dental/dental X-ray.
We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with some experience, ideally gained in a similar small animal practice setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of the team but also comfortable working independently when required.
