The role is for a caring and passionate Veterinary Surgeon with ideally 2 years UK experience, there will be sole charge work however, support from the wider group is always on hand.

About Us

We are a small, friendly, supportive practice located with good transport links to Birmingham/Wolverhampton but within the beautiful countryside of Shropshire. Our practice does not offer OOH, Vets Now cover this, and we have and excellent relationship with practices in our Lockwood Veterinary Group (a 9 practice, 20 Vet group) for in- house referrals.

Several vets have already gained their certificates (Exotics, Surgery, Imaging), a roving Cardiologist specialist and Certificate studiers in Medicine and Surgery. Post qualification certificates for both Nurses and Vets are encouraged. We have a high percentage of qualified nursing staff and are also a nurse training practice. Our staff turnover is low and progression opportunities are encouraged to support this. We pride ourselves with excellent Veterinary care and customer service.

We have a full and modern lab equipment/blood machine(s). Digital X-rays facilities. Separate operating suite and dental equipment. Vet and modern nurse consulting room.

We are made up of 2 Veterinary surgeons, 3 nurses, supported by management as part of the Lockwood Veterinary group. Certificate holders in Exotics, Surgery, and Imaging. Roving cardiologist specialist. Certificate studying actively encouraged with vets currently studying both internal medicine and surgery.
