About Us
We have a beautiful, purpose-built site in Hartpury which is clean, spacious, and well-equipped and situated close to Gloucester in a rural area, not far from Hartpury College. The site is equipped with a separate ops theatre, separate dental, ultrasound and X-ray room and a large prep area. We have isolation facilities and a hydrotherapy treadmill, run by a qualified hydrotherapist. Our unique selling point is our attention to our customers’ needs - we make them feel welcome and ensure we do everything we can to help them.
Across our 3 sites, we have 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 11 Reception staff and a Practice Manager. At Hartpury, there are 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Reception staff. We have staff with interests and additional qualifications in Feline Medicine, Ophthalmology, Exotics and Cardiology. Our new Vet will fill the role of an all-rounder, being able to deal with all routine consultations, medical workups, and operations. They will be supported by the rest of the clinical team, both locally and across the other sites, but will often be working sole charge. The Hartpury team are part of the local community and regularly take part in local summer events and host school children at the clinic.
Applicant Requirements
We require an experienced candidate who is prepared to work at least part of their week sole charge (but with support available from other sites). Ideal attributes include the ability to organise the clinical work efficiently and ensure the day runs smoothly; the ability to deal with emergencies and prioritize care for the patients that need it most; and the ability to work well as part of a small team.
