The Role 

We are looking for a night vet to join our team and help run a busy out of hours service for our own 6 branches and 14 local user practices. Our ideal candidate will have good communication and confident surgery skills, which are essential to look after our clients and maintain good relationships with our user practices. We encourage and support our colleagues to advance further and you will be given plenty of support, however, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with more experience too, and who may wish to commence study for a certificate. 

Shifts and Salary 

The rota pattern is 7 nights on 7 nights off. With 1:2 or 1:4-week options available. There is a competitive salary of up to £600.00 per night, along with additional benefits, for the successful candidate (dependent on experience). Accommodation is available if required. 

About Us

Our RCVS accredited hospital in Wolverhampton has a fully equipped lab, and diagnostic facilities including onsite CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray and video endoscopy. We offer a range of services such as TPLO/laparoscopic surgery/physiotherapy/k-laser.

Wolverhampton is in based in the heart of the Midlands and with great transport links meaning you are only a short journey away from the countryside, enabling you to get the best of both worlds, city life and the great outdoors!

We have an established track record of developing our vets from new graduates to senior vets.  We are recognised by the RCVS as a graduate development practice and our team contains certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, surgery, and medicine.  We also have several colleagues studying towards certificates including ECC. 

Applicant Requirements 

You should have a minimum of 1-year of experience in ECC work or if you are a confident GP vet, with sole charge experience and looking for your first OOH/ECC role then we are also very interested in hearing from you.
