An unwavering commitment to supporting your development

At IVC Evidensia, we prioritise the continuous professional development (CPD) and ongoing learning of our veterinary professionals because we understand that staying at the forefront of advancements in veterinary medicine is essential.

Our commitment to supporting CPD is unwavering, offering a range of opportunities for both vets and nurses to expand their knowledge and skills. Whether it's through tailored training programs, courses, or attendance at conferences, we provide a dynamic learning environment that empowers our team to excel in their respective fields. We support our vets with an excellent annual CPD allowance and allocated days of study leave.

We believe that investing in the growth of our veterinary professionals not only benefits them individually but also enhances the overall quality of care and services we provide to our clients and their beloved pets.

Join us at IVC Evidensia, where we foster a culture of continuous learning and provide the resources necessary for our vets and nurses to thrive in their professional journeys.

Supporting the future of veterinary care with the IVC Evidensia Research Fund

Our Research Fund is available to all vets and nurses, in all clinical sites including first-opinion clinics, as well as residents and referral teams our growing network of specialist-led referral centres. It supports research, as well as meeting the costs of publication and presentation at national or international conferences.

Vet surgeon Axelle on how IVC Evidensia have supported her research and development through the Research Fund:

“For my poster presentation at ECVS IVC Evidensia assisted with travel and conference expenses, which was invaluable. IVC Evidensia offers opportunities to contribute to research by providing financial support and necessary equipment.

I am currently applying for a grant for a research project on elbow dysplasia in dogs in collaboration with the surgical team at Fregis Veterinary Hospital in Paris”

How IVC Evidensia enabled Hugo to pursue exciting research

Small animal surgery specialist Hugo Schmökel on how he’s been supported to undertake his unique and vital research:

“IVC Evidensia supported me in taking my second research trip to Los Angeles. This gave me the opportunity to bring a selection of spine specimens to the University Hospital in Davis, California where I could CT scan them.

Now we have high-quality CT pictures of these specimens which can be evaluated and shown to other experts. This will hopefully lead to a better understanding of the spine changes, which we do not see in our modern-day patients.

The grant funding from IVC Evidensia was used to cover the travel costs, and perhaps most importantly the costs of the CT scanning of the Sabre-tooth cat spine specimen at UC Davis.”

Collaboration opportunities in our network

Alongside the financial support provided by the Research Fund, we also offer support to enable research collaboration.

Our Research Partners network is an experienced team of specialists from around the group. They provide an opportunity for those less experienced in the world of study design, ethical approval and statistics to work alongside experienced clinical researchers, enabling nurses and vets less experienced in these areas to still progress their interests.
