We are a fantastic, mixed practice located in a rural town, 10 minutes from the coast and 30 minutes from largest city with airport and all major shops.

We have a wonderful, small clinical team of 5 experienced Equine & Farm Vets, all with a good knowledge of the area & our loyal client base. We offer educational evenings for our clients along with talks at local pony clubs & equestrian centres, for our farm clients we offer medicine handling courses & herd health plans. Vets are encouraged to discuss ongoing cases and ask for any assistance required, with support from both clinical & non-clinical staff. Regular Vets meetings held to discuss all areas of the practice with all encouraged to participate and bring ideas to the table.

Practice facilities and equipment include large concreate yard for lameness workups with stables for day patients, stocks & x-ray rooms with comprehensive dentistry equipment, k-laser, ultrasound, reproductive scanning & shockwave therapy.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, four days per week working 08:15am – 17:30pm and one half day a week 08:15am – 13:15pm. You will be required to work one night on call a week as well as a weekend rota working 1 in 4 weekends. Additional pay for on call.

The graduate will be fully supported from day one both clinically & non-clinically. They will be able to see various cases both in practice with horses coming in for examination & treatment, along with ambulatory calls to various yards. All farm work will be supported and the opportunity to see various farm cases will be given. Going forward the graduate will be a part of the inclusive team and will be encouraged to contribute their ideas in developing new projects & ideas within the practice.
