Unlock your passions @ White House Vets

We are a friendly, close knit team in a small, first opinion small animal practice located in Malvern. Malvern is a great place to live, a rural Victorian spa town at the foot of the Malvern Hills, perfect for outdoor pursuits and joining community activities. It is a must for theatre lovers. We are within easy reach of both Worcester and Birmingham. Worcester is within a 10-minute train journey. It is a cathedral city offering shopping and a good variety of bars and restaurants. Birmingham, the UK's second city, can be reached in an hour by train. Here you will find the large Bullring shopping centre, cosmopolitan bars and restaurants along the canal, and plenty of nightclubs. Birmingham is ideally positioned for UK and international travel, with good public transport links including an international airport.

We see mostly cats and dogs, a few "small furries", and even the odd hen! The caseload is very varied, covering all subject areas. We work closely with neighbouring practices and local referral centres. Our loyal client base consists of mostly committed and sensible owners who are easy to work with. We pride ourselves on our customer service, we know that a high standard of client care leads to the best patient care. We believe that communication is key to ensuring a happy working environment and are committed to providing a culture of wellbeing in the workplace. This includes flexibility of shift patterns to help every member of the team achieve the right work/life balance for them. We genuinely support our team, with regular check ins from managers and colleagues, and we are always available for a chat.

Our fantastic team is made up of 1 Clinical Director, 1 Vet with another joining in the new year, 3 RVNs and 1 SVN in their 2nd year. We have the usual facilities of a modern small animal general practice, digital x-ray and AI x-ray interpretation, ultrasound scanner, endoscope, bair hugger and laser. Working closely with neighbouring and referral centres so we're able to offer more advanced imaging, investigation and procedures when our patients require them.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you may also be required to participate in a weekend rota working 1:3.

Your mentor and all of your new colleagues are ready to offer full support as you start your career and settle into your new practice.

You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills in all areas of Veterinary Medicine and encouraged to reach your potential in both consulting and surgery/procedures. Initially you will shadow other team members and be given enough time to develop the confidence you need to take on your own cases.  We are looking for someone who will grow into a competent clinician, focused on a high standard of patient and client care, and become a valued member of our close knit, happy team.

In the future you will have the chance to progress in your career, perhaps choosing a specialist clinical area, undertaking leadership responsibilities, or remaining focused on general practice. The world is your oyster! We will do our best to help you find the best career for you.
