Practice Manager – Part Time

The role of the practice manager is to support the Clinical Director in the management of the practice and the development of the business, promoting improvements and being an active member of the Management Team. To manage, lead and develop the members of the Reception team to ensure excellent team work delivering a continuous high standard of customer care. Manage, lead and develop all support functions to ensure a continuous high level of customer care.

Duties include:

- Leading and developing our reception team to ensure exceptional client experiences.
- Providing proactive support to Clinical Director in practice management and business development.
- Overseeing financial aspects, including debt collection, and payroll.
- Building collaborative relationships with IVC's various departments.
- Conducting monthly 121s and bi-annual appraisals.
- Being the go-to person for employee relations, supported by our HR team.
- Coordinating maintenance, repairs, and efficient scheduling.
- Assisting with input schedules, holiday, and absence management

At BHE we pride ourselves on ensuring a good work life balance. Therefore, the role is part time with shift pattern flexible around home life. The working week is Monday - Friday with no weekend or out of hour work required.

Our practice has all the usual toys you should expect including digital x-ray, ultrasound, extensive lab suite and dental. We have dedicated theatre, imaging, and dental suites with separate patients’ wards. We are proud to be RCVS accredited and to have been awarded Cat Friendly Clinic – Silver.

We are a multi vet team, 1 with a certificate in Dermatology, 3 RVN's and 1 Student Vet Nurse. Our support team consists of 1 VCA and 3 Receptionists.
