Registered Veterinary Nurse - Consults

Lime Tree Vets, Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital, Meir Park, Meir Park, West Midlands

Discipline: Small Animal

Full Time, Part Time, Flexible

Up to £30,000

Apply
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a consultation bias to join our team at Lime Tree Vets. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work full-time, or at least three long days a week between 7am and 7pm. This role is perfect for an RVN who enjoys consultations and is passionate about developing and expanding our nursing consultation services. While you will rotate through other areas of the practice, your primary focus will be running consultations and providing preventative healthcare, patient education, and much more.

About the Role

As a Consultation Bias Nurse at Lime Tree Vets, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our nursing consultation services. You will work closely with clients to provide preventative healthcare, post-op checks, chronic illness support, weight and dietary advice, and flea and worm treatments. Your role will involve running dedicated nurse clinics where you can build strong relationships with clients and make a real difference in their pets' lives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering quality care and has a genuine interest in consultations. You will have the opportunity to innovate, introduce new ideas to enhance the service, and support the development of other nurses within the team. We can be flexible with your working hours and shifts to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

About Us

Lime Tree Vets is a first opinion small animal hospital and referral practice in the heart of Staffordshire. We are an ISFM Accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, and we recently refurbished our branch surgery into a cat-only clinic. We also collaborate with Vets Now Emergency, providing 24-hour care for our inpatients.

Our purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including species-specific wards, a separate isolation ward, three theatres, high-definition ultrasound, digital radiography, CT, K-laser, multiple endoscopes, a chemotherapy room, and an array of in-house blood machines. We are proud to be a nurse training clinic, supporting Surrey Veterinary Students during their final year IMR.

At Lime Tree Vets, we believe in continuous learning and development. We encourage our nurses to grow their skills in a supportive environment, and we provide the tools to help you advance your career.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about nursing consultations and enjoys working with clients to provide a high standard of care. Previous experience in running consultations is desirable, but we will offer full support and training for the right candidate. You should have a strong desire to develop your consultation skills and be motivated to take on this exciting challenge.

Work-Life Balance That Works for You

We understand that work-life balance is essential, and we offer a flexible approach to working hours. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 40 hours per week across four or five days, with a 1 in 5 Saturday morning rota. We are also happy to explore part-time or compressed working options to suit your individual needs.
If you are ready to take the next step in your career and be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values your professional growth, we would love to hear from you!
