The role combines hands-on responsibility for exploring and implementing the use of technology as well as broad exposure across all tax streams – corporation tax, VAT, and employment taxes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business through the design and development of automated tax processes, problem solving, and mitigation of risk, including setting out appropriate framework to govern technology use within the team.
We’re looking for a technology professional who can communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proven background of working with finance teams would be highly desirable and experience with working with tax professionals a bonus.
Management of Tax Technology and Transformation projects
Act as a liaison to bridge the gap between tax, finance, and information technology
Support Group Tax during the implementation of Oracle Fusion and Oracle TRCS
Identify, and solution, automated processes and process enhancements, in particular:
Direct and indirect tax compliance and documentation
Data collection and data analytics
Transfer pricing calculations
Implement appropriate governance over technology use within the team
IT and/or Finance professional with track record of delivering IT solutions and improvements
Strong IT skills and experience gained in practice or industry (or combination)
Hands on experience with ERP systems and their tax and finance modules (Oracle Fusion, FCCS, and TRCS would be a plus)
The ability to understand and explain technical issues
An understanding and ability to quantify, communicate, and manage risk
Effective communicator; able to build strong relationships with colleagues in other countries and departments and with third party tax and finance advisors
A desire to identify improvements and drive change; demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude
Strong time management skills; comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently
An ability to understand issues and identify potential solutions
Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
