Abbey Veterinary Centre is a group of two small animal practices located in Durham. Durham Train Station provides easy access to major cities in the UK, including Newcastle, London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool. We are located less than 30 minutes from Newcastle International Airport. 

You will be working between both our Durham and Chester Le Street sites.

We have an experienced team of 10 Vets, 13 Nurses, 4 VCA’s, as well as a fantastic support and administrative team. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Dental, Medicine and Soft Tissue Surgery. 

Practice facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, multi parameter machine, k-laser, endoscope, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and so much more. We also have a TTA kit with TPLO coming soon.

You will work 40 hours per week working four 10-hour shifts Monday – Friday. You will be part of our Saturday rota working 1 in 5 Saturdays 8am-2pm.

You will be supported by our friendly and supportive Senior Vets and Practice Director. We have a great skill mix and we are a very friendly team. A lot of our vets have 15+ years’ experience and our lead vet is a skilled surgeon with a passion for teaching and development.
