Unlock your passions @ Rosehill Vets
Rosehill has a great friendly team with fantastic practice facilities, set within the heart of the ocean city of Plymouth. Our practice is within walking distance to Plymouth city centre and the coastline. Brittany Ferry crossing is just a 20-minute walk from the practice and offers great travel opportunities to France and Spain. Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is just a 30-minute drive away. If you are looking for a great mix of city and country life, there is plenty of opportunity for both, right on our doorstep.
Our Clinical Director will provide 1:1 clinical coaching to you as a new graduate. At Rosehill we operate a gradual introduction to surgical responsibility, allowing you to progress at a rate you feel comfortable with. Health and wellbeing is very important to all our employees and we offer regular breaks throughout the day in addition to a 1 hour lunch break. We have 6 vets, 7 RVN’s and 2 student nurses in the practice.
All clinical areas had a complete modern refurbishment in 2020. All of our vet consulting rooms are large, with good natural day light. We have a separate dental suite with IM3 dental xray and processor, Ultrasound and Xray room.
Step into a supportive start
Your normal hours of work are 39.5 hours per week, 4 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you may also be required to participate in a Saturday rota 9am to 2pm. There are no out of hours as this is covered by a local IVC hospital.
Please see a testimony below from our current year 2 graduate:
"It will be 1 year since I have been working here (time goes so fast). I have felt 100% supported from all staff since day 1 and I really enjoy working here. There have been obviously difficult moments like lack of experience, fear, frustration... etc but we have dealt with them in a positive way. Now seeing myself back when I started, I feel there has been a huge difference! I’m also very grateful for the trust you have shown in me and for making sure I am comfortable with everything. I never thought that as a new graduate I could have good working conditions and work-life balance, but I have all of that and more here.”
