We’re a busy, thriving, well-loved small animal practice with a loyal client base, a friendly, supportive and experienced team with a passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Currently, we have 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 6 Support staff.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely. 
 
Working under the direction of a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse, you’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.
 
  • Animal care and husbandry

    You Might Be a Great Fit If... 

     
     
    This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. Shifts are 9 hours per day, which includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break, 5 days per week, ranging from 8 am to 7 pm. Weekends are on a rota basis, covering Saturdays between 8 am and 1 pm. 
     
    We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team and is keen to develop within a veterinary environment. You’ll bring: 
     
  • A caring, professional approach and a genuine interest in animal welfare 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively in a busy environment 
  • A proactive attitude to learning, with openness to feedback and development  
  • Ideally, candidates will have previous animal experience and 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 or C or above
  • Animal qualifications are desirable but not essential
