Blenheim Veterinary Centre is looking for a Director or Practice to join their team, as the Director of Practice you’ll create and deliver the strategic direction of the practice and ensure the delivery of high standards across operations, client experience, and business performance. This role plays a critical part in shaping culture, driving results, and supporting sustainable growth.

 

We are a busy, well-established small animal practice supported by a strong and experienced team of 6 vets, 9 nurses and 6 receptionists. We enjoy a diverse and interesting caseload, alongside a rewarding partnership with Cats Protection. With a long-standing and loyal client base, we pride ourselves on delivering consistent, high-quality care whilst building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.

Our practice is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with ample parking for both clients and staff. Facilities include five consultation rooms, an in-house laboratory, operating theatre, separate kennels, cattery and isolation wards, as well as diagnostic equipment such as x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound—allowing us to provide a high standard of care on site.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As Director of Practice, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, commercial and people performance of one or more practices or hospitals, working closely with clinical leadership to deliver outstanding patient and client care.

 

You’ll set and execute the strategic direction of the practice(s), lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high standards across operations, client experience and business performance. This role plays a critical part in shaping culture, driving results and supporting sustainable growth.

  • Manage the daily operational functions, reporting directly to the Area Director
  • HR, financial management, marketing
  • Overseeing financial growth, financial forecasting and operational excellence
  • Supporting our team’s professional development

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with accountability for operational and commercial performance
  • Strong financial and business management capability, including experience with planning and P&L oversight

  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
