Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Gordon Vets, Musselburgh
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term contract (12 months)
We are a multisite practice with 3 sites across East Lothian and Midlothian. We are a very busy practice with a long-standing loyal client base. Our team is made up of 16 vets, 12 Nurses and 13 Reception/Admin across 3 sites. We have a strong, experienced team who work well together and are bonded as a practice.

How you'll make a difference
The role is to provide reception cover and aspects of this role include (but are not limited to):
Welcoming clients and their pets in a professional and friendly manner.
Managing front-of-house.
Booking appointments.
Stock control.
Getting paper-work ready in advance for the Vets.
Attending training events to maintain knowledge and awareness required for this role.
Keep waiting areas, consulting rooms, and offices, stocked and clean.
Entering information onto patient record systems accurately and in a timely manner.
Registering new clients and explaining our services and offers.
Taking payments and processing daily banking.
Any other administrative tasks.
This will mostly be split between our Musselburgh and Bonnyrigg branches with some cover also required for our Penicuik surgery. This role is an average of 38 hours per week between Monday-Friday with the current position being a 4 day week. The role includes a 1 in 5 weekend rota.
