We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Yorkshire Vets on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

As one of the leading vets in Leeds and Bradford, we take pride in the exceptional level of care, compassion and service provided for you and your pets. We offer several local first opinion surgeries which work hard to serve their local communities and are supported by RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital facilities. These surgeries offer all of the day-to-day facilities and services that you would expect from a local veterinarian. They are also staffed by some of the best surgeons, nurses and support staff in the region. Services and facilities at these first opinion surgeries include; health examinations, vaccinations, neutering, routine surgery, dental surgery and more.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time – Mon-Fri –9am-5:30pm 
  • Key Responsibilities

    Providing exceptional customer service to clients at the reception desk and over the telephone.

    Appointment planning and scheduling. 

    Answering and making phones calls, including post-operative calls, responding to emails and managing client queries. 

    Assisting with billing, cash handling and maintaining accurate records. 

    Maintaining a clean and organised clinical and communal environment. 

    Assisting with animal handling.

    Due to this being a temporary position this role requires previous experience in a reception based clinical environment.
