We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Downland Vets, Hailsham on a full-time basis.
This vacancy involves working across our three East Sussex surgeries (Stone Cross, Hailsham and Eastbourne), although you will be primarily based at our Hailsham branch.
Join our dedicated team of veterinary professionals, comprising vets, nurses, student nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and receptionists across East Sussex. We take pride in our commitment to continuous learning and development, with veterinary certificate holders in ECC and geriatric medicine and a strong culture of ongoing training. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
Full-time role working five weekdays on varying shift patterns between 8:30am and 7:00pm
Shifts include 8:30am-4:00pm, 8:30am-5:30pm and 8:30am-7:00pm
1 in 8 Saturday mornings, 8:30am-1:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional client care and reception support
Manage appointments and client enquiries
Complete a range of administration tasks
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
Assist with stock control and laboratory duties
Support with basic animal care duties where required
