We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Downland Vets, The Goffs on a full-time basis.
Join our dedicated team of veterinary professionals, comprising vets, nurses, student nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and receptionists across East Sussex. We take pride in our commitment to continuous learning and development, with veterinary certificate holders in ECC and geriatric medicine and a strong culture of ongoing training. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.
Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.
Working Pattern
Working 4 or 5 days per week with shifts between 8:30am and 7:00pm
1 in 8 Saturday mornings, 8:30am-1:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent client care and reception support
Assist with general administration tasks
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control
Support stock control and laboratory duties
Assist with the care and handling of patients
Work across our three East Sussex surgeries: Stone Cross, Hailsham and Eastbourne
