We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Groom to join our team at Sussex Equine Vets on a full-time basis. This is a fixed-term contract lasting approximately 6 months.
Located in beautiful West Sussex, our state-of-the-art, purpose-built referral hospital offers a stunning working environment. Explore the South Downs, relax at nearby beaches, or enjoy city life in Brighton and London with excellent train links.
Our hospital features three hospital barns, a separate isolation facility, a modern surgical suite, advanced imaging facilities including CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine, and on-site laboratories.
Our team is made up of highly trained specialists (4 Surgeons, 2 Internists, 1 Theriogenologist, and 1 Sports Medicine Specialist), along with dedicated equine nurses, trainee nurses, grooms, administration staff, 12 ambulatory vets, and 4 resident trainee vets.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Groom, you will play an important role in supporting our stud vets to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.
Working alongside our Vets, you'll support with grooming duties either on the road or at our busy hospital.
You will work 40 hours per week on a rota basis including some weekend cover.
General responsibilities include:
Mucking out, feeding, and grooming to a high standard
Monitoring horse wellbeing and maintaining welfare standards
Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, including both clinical and administrative staff
Capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced rural environment
