We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Oaks Vets on a part-time basis covering maternity leave for 12 months.

 

Our greatest asset is our team. Our experienced team of veterinary surgeons is supported by a dedicated team of nurses and support staff. We all pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care and customer service. We have a reception team of 11 working over 3 practices in Ayrshire, Saltcoats, Largs and Dundonald.

 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

 

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

 

Working Pattern

 
We are looking for someone to work 40 hours over 5 days. It will include 1 Saturday mornings in 4 in our Largs practice.

  • Answering phone calls
  • Triage emergency phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Updating patient records
  • Dispensing medications
  • Processing payments/banking
  • Dealing with outstanding accounts
  • Maintain cleanliness of reception, consult rooms and communal areas
