Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Cootes Vets, Burgess Hill
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
We are a small, long established team within a family feel clinic. We are set within a beautifully refurbished building with ample space including a large kennel area. We have a lovely client base, with a high percentage of PHC penetration and insured clients. We have hosted annually, very successful dog shows and have successfully been awarded Community Grants, two years running.

How you'll make a difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide an excellent experience to all patients and customers.
Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors.
Answer the telephone in a professional manner.
Greet visitors in a friendly manner.
Booking, cancelling and changing appointments, and follow up treatment as needed.
Answer general administrative questions or direct them to the appropriate party.
Deal with some admin responsibility.
Quickly resolve issues related to phone, emails or paperwork.
Processing and recording payments.
Dispensing medications/prescriptions.
Keeping client/patient records up to date.
Maintaining stock levels.
Ensuring the reception area and consulting rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times.
This is a part-time permanent role working 20 hours per week Monday-Friday,5 hours per day. The working shift pattern will be on rotation 8:30am-1:30pm / 2:00pm-7:00pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays.
