This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can remain calm in a busy environment, and understands the importance of compassion and professionalism in veterinary care.
About the role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be a key part of the client journey and an integral support to the wider practice team. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming clients and creating a positive, reassuring first impressionSupporting the clinical team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practiceManaging appointments, enquiries, and client communicationsUsing practice management systems alongside Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookHandling payments and supporting general reception dutiesContinually developing your skills as the practice and services evolve

We are looking for someone who is:
Calm, compassionate, and people-focusedConfident supporting clients during emotional or stressful situationsWell organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing prioritiesComfortable working in a busy, client-facing environmentA clear and confident communicator with clients and colleaguesReliable, professional, and a strong team playerPrevious experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong customer service skills and the right attitude are key
