Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a multidisciplinary referral centre based in Ringwood, Hampshire, offering a wide range of specialist veterinary services. We have recognised specialists in the fields of anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, opthalmology, neurology, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, spinal surgery, soft tissue surgery. We also have an animal rehabilitationteam.
We are looking for candidate to join our busy client care department. This is an established team who are liaising with clients, veterinary professionals and insurance companies on a daily basis. Excellent customer service skills, a confident telephone manner and attention to detail are a must. Applicants must be able to multitask and work well under pressure, ensuring the job is done to a high standard. Sharing information and working well as a team are also vital requirements.
Daily tasks include:
Overseeing the practice email inbox, prioritising and efficiently responding to urgent communications from clients and referring veterinary practices.
Providing efficient and professional telephone support, addressing client and referring practice enquiries.
Communicating with clients to arrange timely appointments for new referrals.
Communicating with pet insurance companies
Reading clinical history for information relevant to the condition
Chasing documents and dealing with queries from our own clinicians
Taking payments from clients
Assisting our clinical team with emergency cases and arranging emergency appointments when needed
Working on a face-to-face basis with admin team members and veterinary professionals
