How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.
Working under the direction of a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse, you’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.
Handling and holding patients safely and compassionately
Assisting with procedures under veterinary supervision
Running lab tests and managing samples
Cleaning and preparing theatres and equipment
Feeding, walking, and caring for inpatients
Maintaining high standards of hygiene
Ensuring all daily tasks are completed efficiently
You will work 40 hours per week, and we can be flexible by offering shifts across 4 or 5 days. You will also be required to work 1:3 Saturday mornings, 8 am - 1 pm.
