Practice Manager - Kenwyn Vets - Truro

Salary up to £32,000 DOE

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Based on the outskirts of Truro, Kenwyn is a friendly, close-knit mixed farm and equine practice with strong ties to the local farming community. Our team of 12 includes seven vets, including our Clinical Director, alongside a TB Tester, clinical support and reception colleagues. We enjoy spending time together both in and out of work, creating a genuinely supportive team environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience.

You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.

We’re looking for an organised, approachable people person to help keep our practice running smoothly. You’ll oversee the Client Care Team, coordinate rotas and holidays, manage insurance claims and debt recovery, and ensure equipment servicing and compliance records are maintained.

You’ll also lead performance reviews, support team development, manage absence and workload, champion our FAB programme and oversee client complaints through to resolution. You’ll help maintain high standards, keep things on track and ensure our team has the support they need to thrive.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are an experienced people and operations manager with strong leadership capability. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments
  • Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
  • Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  •

At inspiring vet care, we’re committed to supporting you in a senior operational leadership role. When you join us, you’ll benefit from:

  • A key leadership role with responsibility for operational performance and team culture
  • Clear career pathways with progression opportunities into senior practice or regional leadership roles
  • Ongoing learning and development via the IVC Evidensia Academy to support leadership and professional growth.
  • A collaborative, values-led culture focused on care, community, and continuous improvement
  •
