At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

DentalVets is a leading, RCVS accredited, small animal dentistry referral clinic in Haddington.
We are committed to delivering the highest possible standard of care throughout every stage of the client journey, and our reception team plays a vital role in achieving this.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Due to the retirement of a valued member of our team, we are looking to welcome a new Receptionist to join us.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing a warm, professional and compassionate welcome at every interaction. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, working closely with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a seamless and positive experience for clients and patients alike.
This role is akin to a front-of-house hospitality position - client care is at the heart of everything we do. While you won’t be part of the clinical team or work directly with animals, you will play a crucial part in supporting their care through excellent service and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming clients and their pets to the practice
Answering telephone calls and handling client enquiries
Booking and managing appointments, including already scheduled visits
Providing information to clients regarding appointments and services
Handling pre-authorisations, insurance claims, and Carefree Credit applications
Taking payments and managing financial transactions
Completing daily administrative tasks
Maintaining a clean, fresh, and welcoming reception, waiting area, and facilities
Relaying client queries to veterinary surgeons and nurses, and responding as appropriate
Supporting ongoing client communication and follow-up
