Lakeside Veterinary Clinic in Galway is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key leadership role within the practice, offering a varied and engaging workload with both operational and front-of-house responsibilities.
As Practice Manager, you will play a central role in the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic, working closely with leadership and central support teams. The role combines hands-on reception cover with management duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in both client-facing and operational aspects of practice life.
As Practice Manager, you’ll be play a key leadership role in supporting the Clinical Director with the day-to-day management and long-term development of the practice. You’ll be part of the management team, driving improvements, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the smooth running of all non-clinical operations.

Practice Operations: Overseeing all support functions within the practice to ensure they run efficiently and effectively, with strong communication and clear leadership.
Leadership & Culture: Setting a professional standard and being a role model for the wider team.
Project Support & Innovation: Supporting initiatives from the Clinical Director and wider Group, encouraging fresh ideas and full team engagement.
Policy & Compliance: Ensuring that all group policies and procedures—financial and non-financial—are implemented, followed, and respected.
Office Management: Managing the day-to-day running of the practice environment.
Staff Management: Leading, supporting, and developing the practice team.
Finance: Managing cash flow, banking, and day-to-day financial processes.
Collaboration: Working closely with the Business Support Manager and Head Office to ensure strong communication and alignment across teams.
Marketing & Development: Driving business development, local marketing efforts, and engaging with company representatives around promotions and materials.
Community & Charity Engagement: Managing practice involvement with local charities and community initiatives.
Recruitment & Talent: Liaising with the Talent Partner to manage recruitment needs and attract great people.
Employee Relations: Supporting HR processes and helping resolve staff concerns with professionalism and care.
Customer Care: Handling and resolving customer complaints with empathy and efficiency.
Additional Duties: Taking on other responsibilities as required by the Clinical Director or senior management.
