We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Practice Manager to join our friendly, feline-focused team at our Southsea clinic. Just a short walk from the seafront, our clinic takes pride in delivering exceptional care to our feline patients and their owners.
Be a Dedicated Leader
As the Practice Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our practice. Your primary responsibilities will involve overseeing financial performance, fostering team engagement, ensuring a positive client experience, and driving the overall success of the practice.
In this role, you will manage key administrative functions such as preparing monthly payroll, coordinating holiday cover, processing overtime, and handling company sick pay and statutory sick pay (SSP) requirements. You'll also manage staff schedules, maintain health and safety protocols, and ensure that facilities and equipment are in optimal condition, including organising repairs and overseeing debt management.
You will take an active role in the annual pay review and budgeting for staff costs, conduct appraisals and performance reviews for non-clinical staff, and work with the Operations team to organise and promote practice initiatives, such as Pet Health Plans, discounts, and promotional bundles. Handling client complaints will also be a key responsibility, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
Our Team
Our close-knit team consists of a Clinical Director, 2 full-time vets, 1 part-time Vet, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 1 Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), and 2 Receptionists. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care in a welcoming and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and support a diverse team. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills are essential, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities. A proactive approach to problem-solving is highly valued. Experience in a veterinary or clinical setting is highly desirable, and a genuine passion for feline care and welfare is crucial for success in this role.
