If you love animals, enjoy helping people and take pride in being organised and reliable, this could be the perfect next step for you.
Anicare Vets in Blanchardstown is looking for a friendly and capable Veterinary Administrator to join our team. This is a key role within a busy, modern veterinary hospital where you’ll play a vital part in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with both clients and the clinical team, making a real difference to the day-to-day experience within the practice.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with no weekends, no bank holidays and no out-of-hours. You’ll work structured 8-hour shifts, typically between 8:30am–5:00pm or 10:30am–7:00pm, giving you a great routine and work–life balance.
You’ll be part of a wider team, so communication, reliability and a willingness to support others are key to success in this role.
This position sits at the heart of the hospital’s administration. Your days will involve managing accounts, handling insurance queries, approving invoices and ensuring key monthly tasks – such as health and safety requirements are completed on time.
Alongside this, you’ll be speaking with clients both in person and over the phone, offering a calm, helpful and professional approach at all times, particularly when discussing accounts or resolving queries. There’s also a practical element to the role. You’ll help with stock deliveries, maintain a clean and organised environment, and support the wider team with general administrative duties. Over time, you’ll build strong knowledge of the practice’s services and be confident guiding clients when they need support.
Our Blanchardstown clinic has recently been refurbished and is fully equipped to support high standards of veterinary care. The hospital includes dedicated surgical and dental theatres, digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and a comprehensive in-house laboratory. We also have separate dog and cat wards, along with a cat-only consultation room, allowing the team to deliver a calm and tailored experience for every patient.
You’ll be joining a friendly, professional team of vets, nurses and support staff who work closely together and genuinely support one another. As part of the wider Anicare Veterinary Group and IVC Evidensia network, there are also excellent opportunities for long-term development.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure and takes pride in being organised and detail-focused. You’ll have previous experience in an administrative or customer-facing role, feel confident using IT systems and be comfortable managing a busy and varied workload.
Strong communication skills are essential, particularly when discussing accounts with clients. A positive, team-focused attitude and a genuine interest in animal welfare are just as important.
Experience in a veterinary, medical or healthcare setting would be a bonus, but not essential.
We offer a competitive salary along with great benefits, including:
Leave: Annual Leave, Birthday Leave, Paid Maternity, Paternity, Bereavement, and Sick Leave
Wellbeing: Cycle to Work Scheme, EAP Access, Free Flu Jabs, Discounts (Retail & Virtual Gym), & Access to Company Programmes (LGBTQ+, Wellbeing, etc.)
Career Development: Career Progression, Leadership Academy, Annual Pay Reviews
Financial Support: Employer Pension Contributions, Discounted Staff Pet Veterinary Fees
If you’re looking for a rewarding role in a modern, supportive veterinary hospital where your work really matters, we’d love to hear from you.
