We are looking for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join The Neighbourhood Vet on a full-time basis.

 

The Neighbourhood Vet is a lovely 20-vet practice in SE London established over 12 years ago. Our main hospital is situated in the heart of East Dulwich on popular Lordship Lane, and our two branch clinics are in Crofton Park and Penge, where we are a strong part of the local community.

 

Although we are a large group of 72 fantastic people, we have a close-knit, caring team. We pride ourselves on being kind and compassionate, doing the right thing for our staff, clients, and their pets, and we like to laugh and try to make every day at work a good one.

 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

 

You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.

 

Working Pattern

 
  • 4 x 9.5-hour shifts (8:00am–5:30pm or 10:00am–7:30pm)
  • 1 in 4 weekends alternating between short and long weekends
  • Short weekend: Saturday 8:30am–3:00pm
  • Long weekend: Saturday 9:00am–7:00pm and Sunday 9:00am–7:00pm
