Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Located in the scenic Garden of England in Ashford, Kent, Barrow Hill Veterinary Hospital is a purpose-built facility. We have a supportive and collaborative team as well as multiple visiting specialists. This is a multi-site role, so you will be working mainly in our Ashford branch, but also in Hythe and New Romney. A driving licence and car is essential.

How you'll make a difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction. 
 
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey. 
 
You role will involve:
  • Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
    Handle appointments, phone calls and enquiries
    Support the clinical team with smooth day‑to‑day operations
    Maintain a tidy and efficient reception environment

    This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week.
