Wellpet Veterinary Group have a fantastic opportunity for an eager Veterinary Care Assistant to join our current nursing and reception team. This is a fixed-term role lasting approximately 12 months.
Duties will include:
Animal handling and restraintInpatient carePharmacy duties, order unpacking and stock rotationReception coverAssisting with in-house laboratory testsGeneral assistance of nurses and vetsCleaning and care of equipment, including maintenance and sterilisation of veterinary instrumentsHelping maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout all clinical areas, including laundry duties

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about pets and their welfare and enjoy working as part of a team providing exceptional service to our clients. Experience is not required, but would be advantageous. Full on-the-job training will be provided.
Your shift pattern
You will work 40 hours per week, covering shifts Monday - Friday with shifts between 8:30 am to 8 pm and 1:4 Saturday and Sunday Mornings, 9:15 am to 1:15 pm on a rota.
