Build Your Skills in a Busy Veterinary Hospital
This role will give you exposure to a wide variety of nursing and patient care responsibilities, allowing you to apply your learning in a real clinical environment while working closely with an experienced team.
Duties will include supporting the nursing team with patient care, preparing and maintaining clinical areas, assisting with inpatient monitoring, laboratory work, infection control procedures, client interactions, and general hospital duties.
As your confidence and experience grow, you'll have opportunities to become more involved in clinical cases and develop practical skills that will benefit your future veterinary career.

Southview Veterinary Hospital, established in 2003, has a long-standing history of treating both small and large animals. Over the years, the practice has continued to evolve, investing in modern equipment, advanced diagnostic tools, and enhanced clinical services to provide exceptional patient care.
Our team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Veterinary Nurses, and 6 support staff, all committed to continuous professional development and delivering the highest standards of veterinary medicine. We offer specialist services including Ultrasonography, Canine Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, and Hydrotherapy, and work closely with local rescue and TNR charities.
Located in Tipperary, the practice is within easy reach of Cork, Limerick and Waterford, while offering access to beautiful local amenities including the River Suir and Blueway cycling trail.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is currently studying Veterinary Nursing and is keen to gain practical experience within a veterinary practice.
You will have a genuine passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and a positive, team-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will be reliable, eager to learn, willing to take initiative, and excited to develop their knowledge in a supportive clinical environment.
Previous experience working with animals is beneficial but not essential, as full support and training will be provided.
