Are you passionate about animal care and looking to begin an exciting career in veterinary nursing? We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Student Veterinary Nurse Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time (38-40 hours per week) + Out of Hours

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons with patient care
    Learning to provide high-quality nursing care to a wide variety of patients
    Supporting consultations, theatre, and inpatient care
    Preparing and maintaining equipment and clinical areas
    Maintaining excellent hygiene and infection control standards
    Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required
    Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
    Completing coursework and practical training as part of your apprenticeship programme

    No previous veterinary experience is essential, although experience working with animals or in a customer-facing role would be an advantage.
