At Scarsdale Vets, we are looking for a resourceful and proactive Veterinary Care Assistant to join our First Opinion teams, based mainly at our Mickleover, Park Farm, Oakwood and Shelton Lock practices.  The role will involve working at different sites across the working week, so having transport or access to transport links is essential. 
 
Scarsdale Vets is proud to provide outstanding care to pets and their owners across Derbyhire and the surrounding areas. Alongside our central hospital and referral centre, our community practices deliver high-quality, first opinion care in convenient local settings. The Stapenhill practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, two operating theatres, and dedicated consulting spaces, including a nurse consult room.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.
 
Working under the direction of a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients. 
 
The position is full-time, working 40hrs per week Monday-Friday on a rota basis across different branches.
