Take the next step in your veterinary career with us at Zetland Veterinary Group

This role is primarily hospital-based, with non-clinical time allocated for managerial tasks. Branch work opportunities are also available.

Work life balance that tips the scale

Our flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. We would welcome both full time and part time applicants. Typically, the full time position is over 4 days (we need someone to work a Monday but we can be flexible on the other days) with a share of the weekend rota (we work 1 in 11 Saturdays/Sundays 8:30am - 5pm and 1 in 11 Saturdays 8:30am - 5pm and 1 in 11 Saturdays 9-4).

Lead our long-standing team

You will be welcomed by a team of 17 vets, 15 nurses across 8 sites in Bristol, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade. We have colleagues with certificates in Surgery, Feline medicine and Small Animal Medicine. We also have certificates ‘ln-Progress’ and a wealth of other experience and qualifications across our branches in other handy subjects such as Behaviour, Pain Management and Acupuncture.

Our exceptional practice

We have all the usual/expected equipment (including laparoscopy) at our branches and the central Hospital in Redland, Bristol, close to Gloucester Road – a famous independent high street full of amazing treasures.  We have a dedicated client base and enjoy a large amount of clinical freedom to work up our always interesting caseload.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Veterinary Surgeon who has previous management experience.
