We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our experienced team here at Alphavets Langstone and Risca (typically one day at Risca per week). You will run nurse clinics, have operating days, care for inpatients and have regular communication with clients.

To give you an insight into our typical working hours, 
  • We have an average working week of 40 hours, 5 day week.
  • Mixture of shifts -  8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm.
  • A fair rota share of around 1 in 5/6 Saturdays from 8am to 12:30pm.

    Our Facilities 


    Since being opened in 1996, we've invested heavily in state-of-the-art facilities to better serve our patients and their owners. We've gone from strength to strength thanks to the support of the local pet-owning community. We offer Lap Spays, Endoscopy and have the availability for BOAS, Orthopaedic and Spinal procedures.
     
  • Langstone: Recently refurbished with separate dog and cat wards, dental suite, X-ray/Ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and advanced orthopaedic and spinal equipment.
  • Risca: Equipped with 3 consulting rooms, digital x-rays, ultrasound, In-house lab, sterilisation room and state-of-the-art dental equipment.

    You’d be welcomed by our dedicated team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons who are supported by experienced nurses and committed reception staff. We have a wealth of knowledge with RCVS advanced practitioners, surgical certificate holders and we have a real passion for encouraging and supporting all personal development, including gaining certificates.
