We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a one-year fixed contract (maternity cover). Full-time work is preferable, but we can consider part-time or flexible working options.
About Straid
We are a small, friendly, enthusiastic practice based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire! The practice has been established for over 100 years and has a loyal client base. We pride ourselves on being our community vet, establishing good relationships with our clients and their pets and working with some local charities. We also enjoy some fundraising for them as well! Beaconsfield is a busy town with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and great commuter links.
You will be working alongside 3 other members of our nursing team! The practice has ultrasound, new DR processing x-ray, dental x-ray, operating theatre (also performing orthopaedic and some more advanced soft tissue procedures), fully equipped lab, 3 consulting rooms.
Our rota
Our rota systems aim to provide a good work/life balance for staff and we are flexible with allowing staff to swap shifts to accommodate any personal commitments they may have. We work Monday - Friday inclusive (with a mix of early shifts 8-4 for 3 weeks and late shifts 12:30-7:00 for 1 week), there is also 1:4 Saturday mornings 8-12. We are also flexible with the rota to accommodate staff holidays and make sure we all look out for each other.
