Join a Supportive and Experienced Team

Ark Vetcare Foxrock is seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join our busy and well-established small animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses at all stages of their career, including newly qualified graduates, with strong support and mentorship available from our experienced team.

We are proud of our collaborative environment, where nurses are encouraged to learn, develop, and fully engage in all aspects of patient care while working alongside skilled veterinary surgeons and support staff.

The Role

As a Veterinary Nurse within our primary care team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care and ensuring the wellbeing of patients throughout their journey in the practice.

Your responsibilities will include supporting consultations and surgical procedures, monitoring patient recovery, administering treatments, maintaining clinical areas, and providing guidance to pet owners. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate records and upholding high clinical and professional standards.

This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who is proactive, compassionate, and enthusiastic about developing their nursing skills in a busy GP setting.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, worked across a structured rota. Shifts will typically fall between 7:30am and 3:30pm or 11:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute break each day.

The rota includes 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00am to 3:00pm). There are no Sunday or out-of-hours requirements, and only one bank holiday per year is required, supporting a strong work-life balance.

Our Practice

Ark Vetcare Foxrock is a busy, first-opinion practice equipped with modern facilities including a dedicated operating theatre, dental suite, large in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and separate dog and cat kennelling.

Our team consists of experienced Veterinary Surgeons, skilled Veterinary Nurses, and a supportive administrative team. We work in a positive, team-oriented environment where everyone contributes, supports one another, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient and client care.

As part of the wider Ark Vetcare group, we also benefit from the support of our branch practices in Dun Laoghaire and Kilmacud.
