We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingston Vets on a Full time basis.

Kingston Veterinary Group is a long established group of 2 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across two locations, offering Small Animal and Farm animal care, all conveniently situated close to each other.  Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver Veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance. 

We have two wonderful, purpose built practices, located in Yeovil and Sherborne, complete with Dental suite, Imaging suite, Separate Cat, Dog and Isolation facilities, Laboratory room, Farm procedure room and large Species split waiting room, along with a host of offices and separate Nurses office upstairs. 

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available.

Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a Saturday morning on a 1:4 rota basis. There are no Out of Hours requirements. The role will be predominantly based at our Yeovil site, with flexibility to work at our Sherborne site when needed.

Part-time: 26 hours per week across 3 days, working across both our Yeovil and Sherborne sites. Shifts will rotate between 8:30am and 6:30pm, with a 1:4 Saturday morning rota.

General Responsibilities

Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
Responsibility for inpatient care
Monitoring anaesthetics
Assisting with patient admits and discharges
Carrying out nurse consultations
