We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Zetland Vets on a full-time basis.

 

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of patient care while supporting excellent client experiences. This is a great opportunity for an RVN who enjoys building strong client relationships, working closely with a sole-charge vet, and taking an active role in the day-to-day running of 2 branches.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

     

    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

     

    Working Pattern

     
  • 40 hours per week across either 4 or 5 days between hours of 8 am - 6 pm 
  • Mondays and Wednesdays at Patchway with consults only, Tuesdays and Fridays at Filton covering ops
  • 8 Saturdays per year 8:30 - 5 pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

    General Responsibilities

     
  • Sole charge of nursing duties across both 
  • Pet health checks, post-operative checks, second vaccines, anal gland treatments, nail clips, and wellness consultations
  • Quality control and laboratory machine operation
  • Practice upkeep including cleaning schedules, date checking, and general administration to maintain the branch.

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • Experience working on sole charge 
  • Ability to travel between sites
