North Weald Vets are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis.

Practice Highlights
 
  • Joining 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Receptionists, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
  • Well-equipped with up-to-date facilities, including a new dental x-ray machine, allowing us to deliver a high standard of care and carry out a wide range of procedures in-house.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

     

    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

     
    Working Pattern
     
    The role is based on a 40-hour week, working Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8 hours in length, either 8:00am – 4:00pm or 11:00am – 7:00pm. There is also a 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota (8:00am – 1:00pm).
     
     
    General Responsibilities
     
     
    This is a varied and hands-on nursing role where you’ll rotate across different areas of the practice, including:
     
  • Theatre and surgical support
  • Inpatient care
  • Nurse consultations
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • Client communication and reception support

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
